Class Studying Ice Wizard Story

[Well?] posted the professor.

"Evry story needs character, plot, n'plight," said Friggin. "Both Michellius and Boss are coloured characters. Plight is both are mighty, yet secretly alone n'powerless. Plot is bro bonding. Dunno why stories always need character, plot, plight, but tis covered."

[The freezer symbolizes Michellius's cold imperial nature, and the hot frying burgers symbolize him exposing his gizzard,] posted Watifa. [I would have liked knowing where it took place.]

"Albuquerque," said Dood.

"What? It does no say," said Friggin. "Why not Florida, r'Pittsburgh?"

"Tis short," said Dood. "Short leans on stereotype. Tis soulless suburbia. Florida tis more bloodyminded. Pittsburgh tis Andrew Carnegie, smoke n'rust n'bridges, too much personality. Always, tis Albuquerque fer soulless suburbia."

[Boston?] posted the professor.

"Doona pull me leg," said Dood.

"Praps you meant Phoenix?" asked Friggin. "Witness 'T'Good Place'."

"Oh me mistake," said Dood. "Phoenix. No slight to Albuquerque."

"Tis not properly ended?" asked Omigaw. "'Dominoes set in motion?' 'Run farther?'"

[Bro bonding] posted Watifa.

"Bro bonding tis good to run from," said Yomamma, with her army boots propped up on the chair in front of her. She held up one hand and thrust the other across it, skipping off it: run fast, run far. "Yet t'promised magical chaos twould be fun."

[Is it humorous? ] posted the prof. [The wizard lives in a freezer in a burger joint.]

"On t'surface, yes," said Shiheed. "But no, tis not a humorous feel. Max left Boss wit t'dog. T'wizard is old, confused. They debate happiness."

"Tis nothin sadder n'talkin aboot happiness," said Yomamma.

"T'poor dog," said Omigaw. "Twas Boss its favorite? Or Max? Twill it be sad its owners are apart?"

[Will the wizard melt if he comes out of the freezer to cook burgers?] posted Watifa. [I would have liked to see more of the Perpetual Wailing Maw of Ksarvek. She sounds fun.]

[Very good,] posted professor Nevermore. [This is a complex piece.]

This was a critique of a story that was a response to a prompt on reddit: "The Ice Wizard lives not in some Mountain or some Cavern, but inside the Walk-in freezer to a struggling Burger joint."
