The girl in the middle is named Iota. She's perhaps the only character that I planned as being a character. She's quiet, not terribly brilliant in any way, but persistent. I think of her standing on tiptoes on a stool trying to change a lightbulb. The main character in most of these, Mike (on the right), has no well-defined personality. I just made him act out whatever funny thing I could think of. The guy on the left was a real student. He was always complaining about how he was surrounded by pencilnecked geeks. I don't know what his grades were.
